What is use of reactor..how it is help ful in electrical system .....brief explain
Answer / coolclikker
Reactor is an inductor coil which is used during no load
conditions voltages increases due to line capacitance(long
distance). To reduce those increased voltages shunt reactor
is used which controls or take the voltage to normal voltage
level.

Why we apply 100ADC for contact resistance measurement?.If we apply AC what will happen
A 500 V shunt motor runs at its normal speed of 250rpm when the armature current is 200A. The resistance of the armature is 0.12 Ω. Calculate the speed when a resistance is inserted in the field reducing the shunt field to 80% of normal value and the armature current is 100A.
