3 dB implies 1/2 the power and since the power is
proportional to the square of voltage, the voltage will be
0,707 of the passband voltage.

sqrt(0.5) = 0.707

3db down scale implies that Pout/Pin = half
means output power is half
and below this half power the output is no loger useful,and only the output above 3db scale is cosidered
so we take the range which is defined by 3db line as bandwidth
according to this we can define bandwidth as the range of acceptabe output
