if a ball is dropped from 8 meter and it bounce back half

first time it travels 8 mtrs
next time (half=4) 4+4 mtrs (up&down)
next time (half=4) 2+2 mtrs (up&down)
next time (half=4) 1+1 mtrs (up&down)
and so on.
Altogether,close to 24 mtrs.

Land to ground from air : 8
first bounce from ground to air back : 8/2
first bounce from air to ground: 8/2
for second and viceverse : 8/4 + 8/4
..... 8/8 + 8/8 + 8/16+ 8/16...
adding altogether we get approx 24m
