how to know the URL and LRL for steam drum level and why the
calibration range is in negative ?
Answer / sreedhar
First Measure The Height Of The Drum From HP To LP. For Example If It Is 500 mm. Then The LRV is -500 mmh20. URV Is 0 mmh20. Because It Is Steam It Will Condensate So We Have To Use Wet Leg. If There Is No Level In Drum, We Will Fill The LP Impulse Line With Water So 500 mm pressure Will Act In LP Side So It Shows 0% Level. When The Level Starts To Raise In The Drum The HP Pressure Will Increase And It Will Show The Corresponding Level.

A pressure differential gauge type of instrument has a manifold with 2 isolation valves (hp and lp),2 vents(1 each for hp and lp) and 1 equalizing valve. Determine the position of each valve(either fully closed or fully open) when troboulshooting to: 1. zero the transmitter. 2. determine if there is a block in the impulse line. 3. determine if the gauge is functioning properly. The process fluid is water.
i have 80cm water tank.how can i use DPT as level mesurment.pls give specs for that..? We have air comp.from that moisture comeout to one tank.i want to mesure level of water in that tank and then after operat one sov to dicharge water after high level.
can a control valve works without positioner?why need tunning of c/v?
In most instances, Inertia processes are quite uncommon. Give an example of a combined Resistance and Capacitance situation.Describe an application, which according to your understanding of the subject matter, comprises of both Resistance and Capacitance effects.
