FT IR has light source silican carbide which emites laser beam
where as polarimeter has polarimeter has sodium and tungston lidht source of 589.6nm

in FT-IR lamp there is a silican carbide and tungston lamp contains.when the sample passes through laser beam the tungston lamp shows the both the vibration and energy levels.where as in SOR only Sodium lamp present.the following wavelength light sources are present in the sodium lamp 365 nm,589.6 nm etc....
