In short I would tell u that the AC Generator is called the
Alternator.
See Generate means to Produce(create), so the device which
produces electricity is called generator, whereas alternate
means continuous change just as AC (Alternating Current).
so when we get AC as output we can call the machine
Alternator or AC Generator.
