Deviation is departure from the written procedure, incident
there is no procedure, it is basic understand, but not
knowingly happen, ie material spillage, Issueance of wrong
material while dispensing,using of obsolete documents.
Some time both are same. It should be clarified when
preparing of SOP.

Deviation means deviate the procedure against the standard operating procedure that called Deviation ,ie- move in a wrong pathway its a intenstional or non intenstional
incedent means deviate that procedure as soon as suddenly any ancient its means Burn the Autoclave handling of unloading the stelile material.that a incedent.
ie know suddenly break the tubelight .but that both are same.

preparing of SOP. if the analyst fails to do the calibration as per
schedule time or if the schedule fails to meet the qualification of
analyst as per the schedule it is unplanned deviation and not incident.
