why we use 110vac in overhead crains? why not 220v, 24v

Control voltages only control the entire operation of the
crane or machine.operating voltage will be hire. if we use
low control voltage it is safe for the person who is
operating the equipment. For control pendent push buttons
only control voltage is supplied,if there is earth fault the
pendent operator will not get heavy shock. there are other
control voltage like 24,48 volts also used in machine tools
and other equipments. it is for only the safety condition of
the operator low voltage is used.

Dear Manuel, can you please tell me wht is earth fualt u
mean to say if use 110vac not getting heavy shock rather
then 220v i am not getting wht u r saying can u plse explain...
Answer is every equipment is designed for particualr
technical specifications if u r using 220v nothing will
happen since it is designed for 220v,24v etc there is no
thing like earth fault becoz u know earth fault only occurs
if there is any fault in that particular equipment...

for same body resistance the high voltage causes high
currents to flow through the body. for ex body resistance is
20kohm(generally).220v gives 11ma.for 110v it is 505ma,
below the danger value. if it incase not not grounded
properly it may helpful to limit the shocking current
