what is the basic difference between latches and flip flops

latch is level triggering and flip-flop is edge triggering
and one more difference is latch just holds the bit only
where as flipflop stores the information until now applying
the next clock

latchs are level sensitive it's value will change in positve
and negative level of the clock
ff are edge sensitive it's value change only at rising edge
or negative edge of the clock

latches output depend upon only its internal ckt , while ff output does depend upon its internal ckt.
