we convert 66kv to 33kv then 33kv to 11kv,11kv to 440v.why
not we convert directly from 66kv to440v?

It can be step down from 66kV to 440V,but the problem is
above 33kV power transformers will be in treated as EHV,
and normally they will carry loads in terms 20 or 12.5MVA
etc. then for e.g for 20MVA the sec. current with 440V will
be 20x10E6/440=45kA( Normal rating), where this power
transformer cant be made practically with huge cuurent. So
practically we will go for 66kV to 11kV normally, where
Current is the limiting factor...

Inside a factory it is feasible. But for public utility you
can not erect regular 66KV/433V substations say ,every 500
meters, as long LT distribution lines can not drawn in view
of current and voltage drop.

if we are converting the 33Kv to 440v directly, wastage of
power is more in the form of heat,so that we required large
no of heat sink too....heat sink cost will be more compare
to transformer, so that we go for the step by step convertion

when we convert 66kv to 440v directly then transformer size
will increase & loses will also increase. So we should
increase the size of heat sinke. So directly we can say the
cost of whole our project will increase & also increase MVA
rating

fulls , there is mutual coupling in between the windings , so for 66/33/11/133..like this we can found the mutual coupling as a nearly 1.......so wethis
