Microsoft Office is an office suite of desktop
applications, servers and services for the Microsoft
Windows and Mac OS X operating systems, introduced by
Microsoft on August 1, 1989. Initially a marketing term for
a bundled set of applications, the first version of Office
contained Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft
PowerPoint.
microsoft office was first introduced by microsoft
corporation in 1988 and it became compatible with window3.x
in 1990. after 2 years , LOTOUS corporation introduced its
smart suite software, which was adopted by very few
professionals related to computer application industry.
NOVELL corporation had also introduced a software named as
NOWELL'soffice for professionals.
A group of microsoft proferrionals decided to develop a
software that can do all the office work together with
multi-users and multitasting facility . As a result of
their efforts,MS-OFFICE in the form of intergrated tool for
individual application came in the market , which was
completely compatible with windows 3.x . IN 1995, microsoft
launched a new version of MS-OFFICE, which was modified and
compatible with windows-95. now advanced versions of MS-
OFFICE named OFFICE-97 & OFFICE-2000.
