Very good decision, there are two types of certifications
available in testing domain.
They are:
1. ISTQB Certification-International Software Testing
Qualifications Board
2. CSTE-Certified Software Tester certification

ISTQB certification has different levels:
Foundation Level-4000/- exam fee
Advanced Level--4000/- exam fee

For Foundation level exam i recommend book: Foundations of
Software Testing: ISTQB Certification
Written by Dorothy Graham, Erik van Veenendaal, Isabel
Evans and Rex Black
Above book is enough to clear foundation level exam.
Even i followed this book for preparation!!!

Second certification is CSTE
This certification is little bit expensive (around 420
USD=18000/-INR Approx)
This certification will have some what vast syllabus.

Preparation Material:
Once if you register for this exam, they will provide you
CBOK (Common Body of Knowledge).
This is enough for preparation

Hi, which certification standard is more recognized? either ISTQB or QAI? im a mtech fresher and wanted to learn testing tools and opt for a certification.... please suggest me some good institutions for training and which certification standared ISTQB or QAI should i opt for???
