The complete name of Sodium tartarate is Disodium Tartarate
dihydrate,Hence it is salt of hydrate. theorotically it
contains 15.66% of water.
And it is generally used for KF titrators calibrations.
In calibration of KF,the known standard of water is very
important and disodium tartarate have very stable hydrate
group or water content.

You can use water instead of Disodium tartarate also.

Dst contains water abt 15.66% so it is very stable hydrate group and it has that much moisture content so it will not gain more moisture from atmosphere
