Latent test means analysing the result at the end of the testning, coz we cannot find the results immdiately. for example in case of automation we can find the result only at the end of testing

I partially agree your answer,because only sanity testing
can't find the latent bugs,which are not discovered in our
previous versions of the software.Along with the sanity
testing,we can bring out testing types in regression
testing.They are
1.Full regression round.
2.Medium Regression round
