beacause transfomer principal to incrase the voltage the
current down the current down thickness of conduter down or
size of wire down,but if we icrease the voltage upto 440kv
the hight of pole of the transmision line will be requred
to increase because static charge of 440kv will be more
than 132kv & 220kv.hance the transmision cost increases.

because transmission line losses means voltage drops due to area of conductor diameter is more, so that y , if we make high voltage transmission line is inversly propational to area of the conductor size wiil be reduced.........so its tramission efficency is high...
