most induction motors are started in direct on line, but when large motors are started that way because of disturbance of voltage on supply lines due to high current . to control the starting current we the star delta connection using direct of line control circuit using connectors and timer to reduce the starting current

i seen a 132kv/11kv transformer,and thier is a sugar factorys 10MW EXPORT PLANT,MY QUESTION IS THAT WHEN THEY EXPORT ELECTRICITY THEY USE THE SAME TRANSFORMER AND THE CONNECT IT TO 132/11KV TRANSFORMERS SECONDARY SIDE CAN ANY ONE EXPLAIN IT..
