Electric train uses only one conductor.It doesn,t need any
separate neutral line because rail itself acts as neutral
path or return path.
And this runs in single phase.

Addition to the above Electrical train motor is DC series
moter & runs at 25 kv , it runs on single phase & the
return path will be trhough the track which is again earth
at several places.
