it is basically a single phase induction motor.but they are not self starting so some starting mechanism is must.capacitor is one such solution.(agar ghar ke ceiling fan ko capacitor na ho ie direct spply to woh uss disha me ghumega jis disha me use ek halka push mila ho).motors ke baare me bohot jankari chahiye aur starting(laymans)terms me toh bl thareja vol2 padho.(ha aur ek aur baat do capacitor laga ke dekho maja ayega)
