Because resistor comes in small sizes and value cannot be
read with bare eyes & also their is no polarity issue for
placing this device in circuit so it can easily read from
color coding.Colors are easily readable without any help of
magnifier.

its easy to study that what value of resistance but if we write value than its difficult to study due to small size as well as hard to write....

it has colour code because there r so many resistance in
circuit and if any one will be burn then after dis-soldering
we can see the resistance value easily by color code. now a
day in resistance it has writen its own value on it.....
