,and for off-line , it is either line directly or inverter

1) On line ups continuously inverter in On position ,in the offline ups when power shut down that time only inverter on position
2) OFF LINE UPS IN HOME , ON LINE UPS USED AT industrial only
3) on line ups Converter and Inverter are available in off line ups only inverter has there

Offline ups:cut the main supply at the time on the ups is called offline ups.
Online ups:any time on the ups is called online ups.
