As the voltage is high ,the current is less.So ,instead of
having 3 windings of line voltage ,you can have 3 windings
of phase voltage to save on insulation and others.Iron
losses are also reduced.

we r having 3 core 3 1/2, 4 core cables how we can know this cable has to be used for this purpose?
