in AS genrator(the exitaion currnt or exitation voltge)

Answer / srinu.pavan
For any generator, we get to control the Reactive power
generated only when the generator is running in
synchronised mode with another generator or grid.
Increase in excitation voltage increases the amount of
reactive power generated.
while the genertor is running in island mode the change in
excitation voltage controls the terminal voltage.

Strictly speaking answer 1 is correct.
It is the excitation current that produces the magnet
field. In most generators the voltage across the field is
controlled by the AVR which then increases or decreases the
current flowing through the field.
There are generators which have a shunt regulator. In this
a variable resistance is placed in parallel with the field.
The shunt will take more or less of the fixed current
flowing through the parallel circuit. This controls the
current flowing through the field.
