FM DEMODULATION RESULTS IN A RANGE OF FREQUECIES i.e
basically bandwidth required for FM is high, also the video
signals themselves hav a large BW therfore if video is FM
MODULATED THEN THE BW REQUIREMENT WILL BE VERY HIGH SO
VIDEO SIGNALS R NOT FM MODULATED

Answer / vinit92
when we are using fm for sending video signal then in fm
phase shifting will be happen and it can be easily seen by
the eyes in t.v and it requires a larger bw. amplitude
,colors, contrasts can be easily adjust in am so we are using
am in transmitting video signal and where as a fm is used in
audio signals........

Answer / sarada
video is a combination of frames and when dealing with
properties of frames the main one will be amplitude
(color, contrast, brightness) as one of the parameter. And
with audio signals we have to concentrate on frequeny (of
signals)

1. Video signal exhibits a large bandwidth and significant
low-frequency content which suggests the use of VSB,

Answer / pratiksha
FM makes phase changes in signal that can be easily perceived by viewer as distortions, also BW requirements are more for FM hence AM is feasible

Answer / mukul pateriya
since bandwidth of video signals are
on the range of 4.5MHz .if it is modulelted
with FM .then bandwidth requirement will be more.
which should not be desire.
also video signals posses very low frequency component .
its reception needs very sharp cut off filter so VSB is
used.
