Suppose a tester reports the bug to the developer and
developer rejects it saying that the bug which is reported by
tester is not a bug.In such a case what should a tester
do?...Kindly answer this question ..

First, discuss with developer why s/he is not saying this
as defect.
Still, if you are feeling this as defect then
1) Provide the screenshots of defect
2) Provide the requirment from SRS
after providing this if still developer is not accepting
this as defect then discuss with Development and testing
lead

If really it is a valid defet then provide the reference of
the requirement which failed in to the defect from SRS to
developer.

3) Provide the screen shots on which basis you've logged the
defect.
Still If developer is not agree then get the confirmation
from QA Lead (From customer side) and update the business
response in the defect.

Before reporting any issues to the dev team,you need to
verify for the issue in two different m/c coz there cud be
a possibility of difference in environment or missing data
base changes.
Once this is confirmed as an issue,report it to the dev
team.If he do not agree with it then-
1.Give him the detailed steps to re-produce the bug.
2.Sit with the dev team n reproduce the bug ur self.
3.Give him the environment details in which the bug was
found.
4.Send him the screen shot of the issue.
5.Re-direct him to the FS which talks abt this particular
requirement.

if the tester rejectd the bug,we should not compromise.we
again recheck that bug.then also if we feel that the bug is
really a defect then we will REOPEN the bug and will send it
to developer again.
if suppose he is not willing to accept that
one as a defect then we will show him the required path
(CTM)which describes how we generate that defect and make
him to realize that the defect is a valid one.

In that situation , we report to the Test team lead, team lead will inform to the developing team lead,developing team will intimate to the developer and all the four members will sit in a room and discuss abt that issue
