Answer / gourav barnwal
Strength of a material refers to its ability to resist or bear force or load, depending on the type and magnitude of load it has been categorized as ultimate strength, breaking strength etc.On the other hand hardness refers to the ability of body to resist deformation depending on the type of material and the type of test it is divided into two categories-brinell hardness no and rockwell hardness no.

Answer / guest
Strength of a material indicates that how many types of
restriction forces can be affird by the material.e.g. How
many types of forces & how much force can be beared.
But, hardnes is the property of material which restrict to
scretch the surface.

Answer / piyush
without failure the ability to withstand the load or force by
a body is strength of that material or body .

is to various kinds of permanent shape change when a force is
applied

Answer / krishna kanth
strength of a material is the maximum load that it can sustain per unit area. it is measured in KN/Sq mm. while hardness is the exterior property of a material to resist any physical changes on the surface like scratching, pitting, denting etc.

hardness is refered to as physical appearance of the
material(by touching it,etc)whether its internal bonding is
stronger or not.but in strength internal bonding is very
strong.
