Hi friends,
i had gd and interview in Delhi on 26th oct.
My gd topic was "Job satisfaction vs Compensation".
Interview was ok.they askd questions on subject , why
banking, and some general questions.

Guys i m advising u all for not to study anything.Be cool
and confident. everything will good.

Don't be worried that SBI interviews doesn't have the
weightage just pasting an exact post i found in a SITE

im gonna exactly quote his words (NAVEEN) ...(this is the
exact post in the orkut thread..)

my doubt was right as i scored heavily in written part but
they didnt even qualify me in GD/PI.....all i can say is
CORRUPTION PREVAILS...

reasoning-

total cutoff for objective test was 80 for gen and 70 for
others
i got total 143

descriptive-

now highest total marks obtained by a gen candidate in
objective+descrptive are 179

i could make it to final list with my 170 even if they had
given me qualifying marks in GD/PI
which were just 20 out of 50...they gave me 19 n that too
when i had a very good intervw..how could one do that
yr...either they dont know how to evaluate a candidate or
they were pre decided with me...
more surprise......highest marks in GD/PI scored by a
candidate=50..wow!! superman tha shayad koi....what a
corrupt system we have
thank God i got my BOB nd PNB MT positive results after
that....truely SBI dont deserve me.
further marks are normalized as
written-250 TO 75
GD/PI-50 TO 25
that means if u score 100 marks in written then ur marks
are 30
and hence for final selection in gen. total 51.2 marks are
needed...
didnt expect this from an orgnztn like SBi..."

GUYS..what this rti clears is a big misconception that in
bank pos if ur written marks are v good ..u r almost
through..but this post shows otherwise ..it clearly
underscores the fact that interviews are more important
than it seems..

PLUS HERE..BOTH THE WRITTEN MARKS AND INTERVW MARKS are
scaled down and normalized ..this clearly means intvw marks
have a bigger say proportionately (ur final score is 30%
written + 50% intvw)...
atleast this is the case in sbi asso this time..im sure
many people would have not known it...

although there are few reasons to come to abrupt
conclusions..(this could
have been an exception to an otherwise fair process.)..

result will be declared after 15th of december....
Sbi is going to recruit only 2200-2400 candidates instead
of 4500.

i got selected for SBP but havnt recieved any confirmatory mail or letter. it seems SBI this time have selected 2500 candidates for 1700 odd seats. dont know how they are going to scrutinize? when are we going to get our call letters, if any one of you guys have recieved the letter please guys post it for the sake of your other friends who are nervous thanks any1 selected for SBP can contact me at dk.potan@yahoo.com

My doubt is that it is mentioned that there will not be any written exam for syndicate bank POs... candidates will be called for interviews based on their aggregate percentages... I know I'm eligible for applying... But I want to know if I will be called for interview as I have an aggregate of 72% in my Btech... Currently Im working as a software engineer trainee... Any statistics of minimum % called for interviews?
