RTD:
RTD means resistive temperature device that made out of a
metal like Platinum (Eg: Pt100 sensor). Resistance of the
metal is linearly proportional to the temperature over wide
temperature range so that temperature can be determined
from the resistance;
Thermocouple:
Thermocouple is a junction made out of two different
metals. There will be an emf generated which is related to
temperature of the junction. This phenomenon is called
Seebeck effect.
Precisely speaking, the emf will be related to temperature
different between thermocouple junction and measuring
point, which is called cold junction.

Answer / kranti1986
RTDs are manufactured from metals whose resistance
increases with temperature.
Within a limited temperature range, this resistivity
increases linearly with temperature.
A thermocouple is a junction between two different metals
that produces a voltage related to a temperature difference.

RTD:-Its semiconductor device whose resistance changes with
change in temperature.
T/c:- When 5the two dissimilar metal soldered or welded at
junction & form an EMF between that juction called as t/c.

I heard that we can use flow transmitter for level measurment also hw it is?
Hi at present i m wrking with tire industry as a manager having gud ctc. Nw I am selected for 1 of the best chemical industry but my ctc is lower than current n also i hv 2 compromize vit post as post is also lower. I hv 6 yrs of exp in various type of industry. Should i join chemical industry as there ar lot of gud instrument than tire? Financialy i can manage 4 more 2 yrs. Bt during wrking vit tire industry i found there is very less instrument n feel that opportunity is less. Pl ans quickly. I have less time to decide.

a pressure transmitter with a range of 0 to 2500kpag has a specified accuracy of 0.5 % of span.It is to be calibrated using a comparison gauge to have an accuracy of 0.1% of span. The comparison gauge has a range of 0 to 3000kpag What is the accuracy ratio? is this ratio acceptable?
-/5A. What is the meaning and limitations of this in energy meter constant. It is a 3 phase LT Energy Meter. If this Energy Meter is connected through a CT of ratio 200/5 Amps, then what is the multiplying constant and how its will be calculated.
