Static device is a kind of device which converts one type of
energy or energy level in to another type of energy or
energy level respectively without physical movment where as
Mechanical device is a kind of device which converts one
type of energy or energy level in to another type energy or
energy level respectively with help of physical movment.
and yes transformer is a static device because transformer
converts one energy level in to another energy level withour
any physical movment.
