In Framework manager there are two types of session
parameter 1)Environment session parameter
2)Model session parameter

Environment session parameter is set when we login to FM or
Cognos Connection i.e. with LDAP User.

information like default user name, runlocale etc is
maintaned in the session parameter. Mostly this seesion
parameter is used in macros along with parameter map to use
session values in the query subject, model or report.

I need to display blue color for max Revenue and red color for min Revenue by using condition formatting how it possible........?

how to add a new query item by using 2 query subject? For Ex: i want to create a revenue query item in products query subject(revenue=Quantity*Unitprice). Hi All, I have 1.6 years of experience in cognos in India. I always wanted to do a MS program to earn some money in US. But I think I am little late in taking the decision. As If I have to write my GRE it will be August or September of 2012 and will have to apply for fall 2013 as fall 2012 admissions are almost done now. So my concern is how will be my career do if my MS is at this stage,. i,.e. 3 years experience in Cognos and 2 years MS program in and again looking for job in U.S. Have I been too late in taking the call? I heard that MIS (Managing Information Systems) is having very good placements now. So guys, please advice me in taking the decision to have a good career and also in terms of earning money as I have few financial problems to solve (which I am hoping to solve when I get job in US after completion of my MS program). Thanks a lot friends. I really appreciate and thank one and all for their valuable comments in this site.

Hi Techies, I got an issue so need your advice here. I have created a report in Report Studio and it's having 2 columns which are having long text as a value (BLOB data type). Report is displaying entire text items in HTML format, but when I'm exporting it into EXCEL it's give me ##########. How to correct (wrap) it in Excel? so when end users they are directly running that report in Excel so instead of seeing ######### for long text items they should see the entire text items in those columns. Please advice!
