Firstly the reason for out-of-date or inadequate
documentation needed from the Test Manager.
The Docs related to project are uploaded in client side in
certain locations. Cross verification can be done from
their.
From Testing point of view the system functionality and the
expected result can be done via Developers and the Test
Manager.
Proper Review of all the artifacts is needed so that new
Test Cases should cover the latest necessity and not the
old ones

exploratory testing will be used to explore the requirements of the client by conducting informal testing.,visiting the existing application analysing the overview of the business.its a challenging task to the testers-it will come in situation when the client would have build the application long long ago or if the requirements are not properly documented or not clear-

If possible, I would like to have a talk with the stakeholders, developers and the testers who tested it previously and would build an understanding of the system. Secondly, I would do the exploratory testing to explore the requirements and flow of the system on the basis of the experience. Finally I would document all the understandings and get them reviewed to create test cases and other data to test the system.
