If /etc/system file is corrupted how will you recover it ,
if we dont have a CDROM then what is the procedure?

ok boot -a
It will boot iteractivelly
It will ask questions to boot the system
Insted of /etc/system place the file called /dev/null
afer the system come up just copy /dev/null to /etc/system
that it it will work..

if /etc/system file corrupted we will use backup tapes and
recover it.if at all we r having no backup then we will go
to ok prompt and copy the file /dev/null file to the
/etc/system.
/dev/null file copies the default contents to the
/etc/system file to boot the sys
