The Performance Degradation can be detected by using
Monitors and Monitors are online graph where we can detect
the degradation of an response time or bottlenecks.
These monitors are of different type like WebSphere
monitors, Application Monitors, Database Monitors and
Network Monitors.
There are some Monitors which comes with license version
like DB2,Network delays, J2EE and .Net Diagnostics. For
these we need to have some third party tool like SiteScope,
BAC..
To check monitors we need to add counter to that and there
are some main counter like
Process--For Process we need to select counters like
%process time counter and % privelages time counter
Memory -- For Memory leaks we need to select counters like
available bytes counter, Pages/sec counter,
Private bytes , Non pool pages bytes.

These are some of them and we have a lot in counter .

Monitoring in LR implies monitoring the entire test. That
comprise of monitoring the :
1. Database/Web server : Depending upon the operating
system the database reside various resource utilization
tools are there for example - sar , vmstat, prstat, top on
UNIX and perfmon on Windows.
2. Network Monitoring : Check the status of network for the
test run duration.

Apart from this , database status needs to be monitored
using AWR/statspack reports.
IIS/Apache logs need to be monitored.

There are two kinds of monitoring are in LR
1) Client side Metrics - Vuser status,Hits/sec,Throughput
2) Server side Metrics - Appserver,DB server,Webserver

This is very strideforward answer for this question.

I Installed loadrunner in my machine(personal PC) successfully. But when i am recording the script is not recording for the actions what i am executing. Can anyone explain what might be the problem for not recording the script.
