Answer / ramu

Disodium tartarate is very soluble in methanol and gives
very accurate results.Dst molicular formula is
C4H4Na2O6.2H2O.
This molicular weight is 230.06.
Water content of DST is 15.66.
Calculation:In DST two water molicules are there=2*18=36
=(36/230.06*100)

In DST there are two water molecues. Those two are very
stable.Eventhough we are drying upto 105c the molecule is
stable.when DST reacts with another substance these two
water molecules are stable.DST is soluble in methanol.
