Sir, I am selected for Postal assistant exam.... Tel me the
future promotions,incentives in postal department..... I
heard there is Increase in DA for every 6 months and yearly
increments.... pls give me a clear picture of the above
queries....... am waiting for the reply

HI, first ofall congratulationn. I dont know much about
postal assistant, but i can tell about increments and D.A.
In Central Govt. For every sixmonths there will be a D.A.
means in once in the month of jANUARY, AND jULY. Two D.As
will be given in a year. and about ur increment, after
completion of oneyear of service, ur increment will be
granted. Now from 6th pay commission that has been changed
to July for everybody. So, you will get a increment in
july every year.

Rs.5200 -20200 grade pay 2400/-
basic pay(joing time)- Rs 9910 + DA [51% of basic
pay,according jan.2011]=5054 + HRA [20% of basic pay for
urban/10% of bp for rural areas]= 1982(if you r posted in
ranchi/dhanbad/jamshedpur etc)+ TA (800+51% of TA)=800+408
now total salary is Rs.=18156/-
+ point 3%increment add p/a.
+ point 6% DA of basic pay add in month of jan and july.

Basic pay is Rs 5200- 20400
your salary including all allowances will be Rs 15450/-.You
will get an additional pay of Rs 1000/-(16450/-) if you
arew working in a city area.An additional pay of 2000
(17450/-) as HRA if you are working in a metro city...

I also know that DA(Dearness Allowance)increases in every 6
months as in jan & july but it is not constant. it can be
changed.It is fixed by Govt that what percent should be
increased? There are 3% increaments in every year in July
as 6th pay commission.

ssc cgl2012 i got 62.50 marks in tier1 and my name is in list TA only minimum cutoff for the SC cate. candidates is 62.50 but in tier2 i got 142 marks in maths and 104.50 marks in english but unfortunately yet my name is in list4 TA only and i calling for DEST at delhi on 26th nov. and i did but i was little bit worried about my typing test if i will not pass typing test then i got any post even i secured much marks?
