there is four angle use in twist drill
1 cutting angle it is 118 is quite common but very 80 to
140 degree soft material required large value of it wherse
hard material required low value.
2 lip clearance angle its value varies 8 to 14
3 rake angle it is large for hard material because for
removeing the chip and small for hard material

90* angle use for bekelite hard plastic.
118* for cast iron
120 for mild steel

is cutting angle and point angle same???????
i think cutting angle is angle made by cutting edge to work
surface.. then how will 118 becomes cutting angle?

we cant say from this,because for every material the angle
is different and there is 3 angle of twist drill.
118 is point angle for bronze and cast steel and for
Al,Brass and SS,118 is the min no. of the point angle.
