what is the difference between composition of ceramic & glazed tiles? ..

Answer / narayanaswamy

virtually there is no difference between the composition of ceramic and glazed tiles except that the ceramic tiles are made from natural clay by burning them in a single stage to the required temparature, where as in case of glazed tiles they are burned in first stage as that of ceramic tiles and in the second stage they are burned again to give the required glaze. this possible by sprinkling salt particles on the tile surfaces during firing
