Why we use series reactor in power system?
Answers were Sorted based on User's Feedback
Answer / sunil
series reactor is used to limit the fault current. b'cos
reactor contains inductance and it opposes the rate of
change of current

For reducing the scc(short circuit capacity).
Then faulty current will be reduced and size of switch gear will be reduced I.e.cast of switch gear equipment is no more

WILL THE PERCENTAGE IMPEDENCE FOR A ONAN TRANSFORMEER BE THE SAME COMPARED TO ONAF TRANSFORMER OF SAME RATING???
1 “earthing” for bonding of equipment and circuits to common plant earth electrode potential, 2 “protective earthing (PE)” when this bonding is required for personal safety provisions 3 “grounding” for interference suppressing bonding of screens, sys-tems with ground level 4. low-impedance earthing ? 5.primary earthing system and secondary earthing system what is that? 6.earthing electrode or mesh net earthing electrode ? very confusing , simple but very informative help required ? i will be very very thankful to you guys.
Why grounding is generally done in supply end?

How can I calculate the fault level of a transformer. 1. If fault is 3phase fault 2. If fault is 1phase fault 3. If fault is 2phase fault Dear all geniouses, can you help me by giving answer. If anybody want to send something then mail me at "msalam_shahin@yahoo.com"
In 3 phase induction motor even with low Voltage it reaches nearly it's rated speed why? (for example instead of 400V it reaches with 250V)
Three phase star connected PT transformer primary side one phase fuse is blown what will be the output in secondary side(Secondary side also three phase star connected)
