before ic 7805 C1 capacitor is used for redusing the
rippal in dc input supply wherever next C2 capactor is
uesd for filling the supply at the time of over loading on
ic 7805 .at THAT time C2 capacitor will feed the supply to
load and no any load will come on ic.7805.THATS OLL. C2
capacitor uesd only for protection of ic.7805.

yes we can use two diodes for that we have to use the full rectifier configuration using transformer.

it won't be an efficient way ...

its better to use a bridge rectifier instead of it.
