Answer / krunal
rtd defines increase in resistance when temp. increase. rtd is positive temp. co-efficient. thermistor defines decrease in resistance when temp. increase. thermistor is negative temp. co-efficient. themocouple is measure temp. difference(t1-t2.

Answer / r.kannan
with t/c we can measure upto 1700deg. but with RTD 600
degree is accurable. in t/c only the tip is sensing point
wihre in RTD the average value will be taken.

I am using Capacitive type level transmitter for measuring oil level in a closed tank (lub oil tank). The txs range is 1500mm, and they do hunt regularly (for about 45mm), can anybody tell what could be the reason??? or any other type level tx that could be used to avoid this?
