I have got an I-20. But due to some paper problem i am not able to take an interview date for M1 us visa and my i20 is going to expire on 27th July (before i have to report). What should i do now. It will take time to complete my paper work. Should i get new i20 or is there any way to extend it?

I am flo from france and I am currently studying in London. I have the opportunity of taking a design course over the summer at an american university so I need a visa F1. The university pays their student to study for the summer as they are doing a project in partnership with companies. Am I able to be paid by the uni with a VISA F1? University where I applied: California international University (small university,course was international business studies) Sponsors: Were in USA(my sister) Family Situation: Father in Govt service Mother LIC Agent A Younger Brother(who is well settled) According to me I got denial cause I have sponsor over there. Now please suggest me what changes I should bring So that I ll get VISA. I have thought of few : Like in DS 156 not to mention about my younger brother so that it will be like "I am the only son & I have the responsibility to take-care of my parents"(though I know that they have my past records). Hi, I just have a question regarding my PhD admission with North Dakota State University without assistantship. I have already completed my Masters from NDSU and was working in the US for a couple of years, I however returned to India last year. I was in touch with my guide concerning pursuing my PhD at NDSU. I have now been offered admission at NDSU for the PhD program for Fall 2010, and I have also finalized my research area (extension of Master's research area), however I have not been given an official assistantship / aid letter from my department. My department is however saying that I will be definitely offered assistantship if I land up at NDSU in Fall. My concern is now about the Visa interview in which I will have to show personal liquid funds for 5 years of doctoral study. Can you please suggest a way by which I wont be asked to show 5 years of funding..since I have unofficially got the assurance of aid/tuition waiver. Please let me know.
