I want to know can we integrate visual source safe tool with QTP and QC for our version controlling process? WE know QTP and QC 10.0 version is having the version control inbuilt in it but I want to know the merits and demerits of the inbuilt version control tool and the visual source safe tool using QTP and QC.

Hi Friends, I have an application that is having some options to choose. While doing business transaction I need to select one option among from available options. But here the thing is, we won't get one option which we've chosen already and the available options will get automatically from the system with time basis, moreover each and every option having with various label names respective to that option. So obviously if I run my recorded script will automatically gets fail, even though it got pass at first time. Could anyone please give me appropriate solution for this. I would be greatly obliged with you if you give the solution as soon as possible.

Hi all, On recording a particular Web application with QTP,Have came across a problem for which I havent found a solution so far.. The script of importance is as follows: Browser("Personalized Start Page").Page("XYZ").Frame ("mainFrame_4").Link("address.csv").Click Browser("Personalized Start Page").Page("XYZ").Sync Dialog("0% of dms.php from XYZ-").Dialog("File Download").WinButton("Save").Click My problem is that on recording the application with QTP and clicking the "address.csv" link another browser window comes up temporarily followed by the Windows "FileSave" dialog.The browser window which came up closes down when the Windows "FileSave" dialog is visible and I save the file to a windows location. On the "Record and Run" settings under Qtp,have activated settings for web and windows applications. But when I run this recorded script,and after the "address.csv" click,The browser window comes up and goes down,No Windows "FileSave" dialog comes up and the QTP shows the error Dialog("0% of dms.php from XYZ-") object is not found,though this object is there in the repository. Have tried putting the Dialog("0% of dms.php from XYZ- ").Exist property.But the "Exist" property is not recognised by the dialog at all. Any help in this direction is appreciated.. A question was asked in a company-suppose, I am testing a website on QTP, all the time a new title bar is appeared on next page. Trying to use regular expression under key word driven testing but expert view is also appearing unchanged and error is also generating, do you have any best resolution for that kindly explain in detail. please dont give example of yahoomail, that is unable to clear my doubt.
