Interviewer was not happy with the project desc and asked for more documents mostly abt company profile and complete desc.she asked me to drop them in the drop box.but she said not to drop the passport. can anyone let me know what happens next. shall i consider it as lost as she didnt asked for passport? or after checking the documents will i be asked to appear again if she is ok with the docs? or how is it gonna be? 2327Hi Guys Situation :- I am working in a Company X , and applied for H1 from a different company Y , and good part is that i have got through the H1, means i got the H1 visa stamped and it is valid till 2011 , Now my company X wants me to apply for B1 , so will the new applied B1 will effect the H1 ? Will the US consulate cancel the H1 to give the B1 ? As i am planning to go to US @ the End of this year i can leave the current employer , who is asking me to apply for B1 , Please reply !!

2320Hi, My petition for H1B has been approved. There is a problem though. In my passport my name has been mentioned as VATSA TANGA. But in all my certificates and educational documents my name is mentioned as SRI VATSA TANGA. On asking the person responsible for visa process in my company, he said that I should not go for a change in the passport name, because the petition was approved on the basis of the name mentioned in the passport ie.VATSA TANGA. Please tell me what should I do now. Should I get a document from a notary saying that VATSA TANGA and SRI VATSA TANGA is the same person? Please suggest.

hi, i got my h1b in april 2006 and worked in usa until 2008. in nov 2008 i returned india and then back in jan 2010 i applied for tourist visa to usa. i got tourist visa approved but my old h1b visa had a stamped saying "cancelled without prejudice". now if i want to reapply for h1b do i fall in quota of 2006 or 2010? please advise at the soonest thanks

Here is my background: B1/B2 Valid till 2016 Company C Travelled on it L1B valid till 2011 Company B Never Travelled on it H1B Valid Petition till 2011 Company A Not Stamped yet. Going for it. 1. How many employees are working in your company? Me: around 30 3. Are all of them from India? Me: most of them she issued me 221(g) and asked me for the following documents: 1. Petitioner's Federal income tax return past 3yrs 2. Petitioner's State unemployment wage reports for past 3 years 3.List of petitioner's employees at your job site including names, titles , salaries and immigration status. I was wondering what are they trying to determine by determing how many employees are from India and are there chances of refusal if they find out 10 out of 30 are on H1
I completed my graduation in 2001 and joined for my post graduation in 2002. So i have 1 year gap during this period. During this period i attend some graphics courses and joined classes to crack my post graduation entrance test. My husband had to go to Switzerland for work for a week,and also get his H1b Stamping from there. Now the consulate there said it would take 3 weeks to process, do you think it would create a problem. They have also asked for his resume???? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE suggest....he's not stuck cos cant enter US...shuld he go back to india or stay in switzerland to process it???
