Hi Guys
Situation :- I am working in a Company X , and applied for
H1 from a different company Y , and good part is that i have
got through the H1, means i got the H1 visa stamped and it
is valid till 2011 ,
Now my company X wants me to apply for B1 , so will the new
applied B1 will effect the H1 ? Will the US consulate cancel
the H1 to give the B1 ? As i am planning to go to US @ the
End of this year i can leave the current employer , who is
asking me to apply for B1 , Please reply !!

You cannot have two visas at the same time. If you apply
for B1 visa, other valid visa will immediately be cancelled
(they will put a stamp "CANCELLED WITHOUT PREJUDICE" on
your existing visa stamp in your passport). If you want to
retain your H1 visa, never apply for any other type of visa
until your existing visa expires.

Hi All, I got H1B in the year 2008 and i have been there for 5 months and had my SSN and DL and i didnt hold any paystrubs and due to market down fall i was back to india and now am i eligible to apply in the same cap or need to go through fresh H1B filing.
