transformers parts & function of each parts

Answer Posted / biswajit mohapatra

Part's of transformer - 1 - core 2 - primary winding 3 - Secondary winding 4- Conservator 5 - Buchholz relay 6 - oil level indicator 7 - Breather 8 - Selica jel 9 - Main tank 10 - Transformer oil 11 - Explosion Valve 12 - Diaphragm 13 - HT terminal 14 - LT terminal 15 - Tap changer 16 - Radiator/ cooling tubes 17 - oil outlet 18 - Earth
Function : 1 - Conservator - It maintain spece when oil is overheat nd explore or it mainly used to store extra insulation oil.. 2 - Buchholz relay - It is a protective device of transformer. It protects transformer when overload or over heat.....3 - Oil level indicator - It maintain oil level in transformer , when oil is low it indicates...4 - Breather - it protects transformer from moisture nd any harm full particle in air.....5 - Selica jel - It situated in Breather..It absorbs moisture nd any harm full particle in air.In Good stage colour of Selica jel is Blue ...After absorb moisture it's colour is lite pink....6 - Main tank - Main tank contain transformer core nd oil.....7 - Transformer oil - It helps the insulation between core nd tank.....Alkaline is used as transformer oil....8 - Explosion Valve - when Transformer is overload or over heat then Explosion Valve will open... 9 - Diaphragm - when Transformer is overload or overheat then Diaphragm will brust. 10 - HT terminal - It's meaning High tainsion ...High voltage will give this terminal.....11 - LT terminal - It's meaning low tainsion..Low voltage will induce this terminal....12 - Radiator - It helps to cooling the transformer oil....Many cooling pipe is connected for cooling the transformer oil...13 - Oil outlet - It helps to drain the damage oil in the transformer.....14 - Earth - It protects transformer when leakage current flow nd any short-circuit in transformer.....
