Why we choose 400kv,220kv,132kv,66kv,33kv transmission
voltages for transmitting power. Why not other voltage
levels.

it is because of form factor (1.11). form factor is rms value/ avg value. power generated from power stations is avg value. but when it is to be transmitted to distant place it has to be in rms. so in order to find relation between the generated power and transmitted voltage the form factor is considered.
The transmission voltage can be calculated from given imperical formula.
VL = 5.5√[(L/1.6)+(P×1000/Cosø×NC×150)] Where,
VL = Transmission line voltage in KV L = Length of line in Kms. P = Power to be transmitted in MW.
NC = Number of circuits (1 for single or 2 for double)
Cos ø =Power factor of load = 0.9 (lag-ging)
