Can we calibrate an actuator?

Answer Posted / vinoth.s

Actuator can be calibrated. for example Pneumatic Actuators
are used in control valves. we have to calibrate the
Actuator between 3-15psi pressure range, for proper opening
and closure of the valve.
there is nothing saying whether field
devices alone can be calibrated. All process control as well
as sensing devices should be calibrated periodically.
