How to calculate sand, cement for 1:5ratio brick masonary
Answer Posted / sandy
suppose u have to do 1 cum b/w
now 1:5 c.m. and using fine sand (jamuna sand)
1+5=6
1/6 x 1440 x .292 = 70.07 kg
5/6 x 1525 x .292 = 371.08 kg
cement density 1440/cum
fine sand density 1525/cum
total volume for 1 cum b/w .292cum
so simple

is it fair to recruit another prestressing agency once earlier agency has provided guide cone for post stressing the Concrete -I girders? It is observed that the bearing plate of another agency is not matching with the earlier one resulting in protruded strands after stressing from the face of girder. Kindly advice.

I used Etabs software to analyse a high-rise building. And I want to use templated UBC-codes inside to calculate the Seismic load. My question is: whether or not I have to control the seismic load by base shear load which is manual calculation? (just for more clarification: I can control this by input the scale factor into Eartquake definition in Etabs) I would highly appreciate your answer.
