What is the defference between Rx Lev Sub and Rx Lev Full?
Ans: Statistical observation says that an average
conversation has silence 40% of the time. When that happens,
the BTS transmits some random noise on to the channel to
save power. This, obviously, degrades the overall RxLev.
Such a level is characterized as RxLev Full. Whereas, when
no noise is induced, the level is reported as RxLev Sub.
This is the reason that RxLev Sub has a better value than Rx
Lev Full.
It was quite a terse answer, but I hope it helps.
