Wht is the Throughput in performance testing during web
based testing, Generally how do we test this..do we use any
tool etc....Anybody can explain it in detail...
Answer Posted / janesh kodikara
Throughput is the number units of work that can be handled
by the web applications per unit time.
e.g :
Number of requests handled by the application per day
Number of reports generated per day
Number of hits per second etc
Time is important when throughput is discussed along with
the number of units of the work.
Open source tools like Grinder, JMeter automatically
calculate them for you. The results need to be tailered and
comply with your project context.
The result can be further formatted (e.g Using MS XL Pivot
tables)
