Login incorrect: The most common cause of
anincorrectloginmessageisamistypedpassword.
Make sure the that correct password is being used,
and then attempt to enter it again. Remember that
passwords are case-sensitive, so you cannot
interchangeuppercaselettersandlowercaseletters
Permission denied : This message occurs when there are
login,
password, or NIS+ security problems. Most often,
anadministratorhaslockedtheuser’spasswordor
the user’s account has been terminated
Password will not work at lockscreen: A common error is to
have the Caps Lock key on,
which causes all letters to be uppercase. This does
not work if the password contains lowercase
letters
Noshell : theuser’sshelldoesnot
exist, is typed incorrectly, or is wrong in the /etc/passwd
file
